Installation questions

How do I amp the door components, how do I get the door panels off, and how easily does the carpet come up off the floor? I searched and virtually found nothing or very little for my first two questions

just get a flat head, the panels should pop off easily. And the floor isn't too hard either its held on by the panels or if it's under a seat remove the seat, so if you pop off the panels the floor should be able to be lift up

Even though you searched, you didn't search enough. The info is definitely there.

00-03 door panel:

Remove trim ring around door handle. Remove plastic cap at front of door - and screw behind it. Remove small circular cover inside door handle 'cup' - and screw under it. Remove cup itself. Disconnect/remove courtesy light at bottom of door panel. Feel for opening at bottom of door panel, use fingers to pull outwards to pop clips. Disconnect wire harnesses as necessary. Lift door panel upwards over window ledge.

For the components, you're going to have to drill through the door jamb to get a wire into the door. It's a molex plug and you CANNOT fish wire through the connection on the car side. Once you get it out of the car, you can make a slit in the grommet and fish it through into the door. Or, locate the wires before they enter the door. The wire information is definitely available - search for it.

OP, where are you located? I do installs and am located in NJ.

Hehe - it's not all that hard. I can get a door panel off in about 35 seconds.

You need a Metra 70-7550 as your wire harness. You also need an antenna adapter and dash kit.

Seriously? For the $6 an adapter costs? That's terrible logic.

To the OP, if you want to do the wiring to the doors nice and clean, I recommend cutting a tiny hole in the rubber gromets where the factory harness exits, heat shrink a section of speaker wire, then slide the speaker wire alongside the factory wiring. The heatshrink will both protect the wire and make it look very close to factory. Then use black cable ties to zip the two harnesses together.

It seems that even these ^^ instructions are more complex than the OP's installation skill level.
