Amp installation f up
Amp installation f up
So some of you might remember how I had my ipaul amp installed at a local audio shop about a year ago now. They screwed into the amp which messed it up causing a huge headache for me since they pretty much told me I was screwed. Don helped me get a partial warranty though so all wasn't lost at least. I took my car to a different place that was near me (don recommended) and they told me that the installers not only messed up the amp by screwing into it but they also used the wrong gauge wiring when they installed the amp..
I do plan on adding in a sub (rainbow hopefully) in the near future so would I need to get the amp reinstalled with the proper wiring when I add that in? He said that the wrong wiring can cause the headlights to dim (which they do) and could possibly blow the fuse lol.
I didn't get it fully reinstalled since well I didn't feel like paying for it right then since I hardly work while in school so figured it would be okay for a little. Any advice?

Install it yourself man, the only hard part about self installs is grounding the amp and that seems to be mostly luck in my experience, short of just putting a bolt into the sheet metal and using that.
