Love it. I installed it and it's great. I power it with a Tube Driver amp at 150 watts. I'm planning on powering it with a JL Audio amp at around 300 watts. Its not a SPL winner, but it gives strong clean powerful bass.......

well, anywhere that sells JL can get it. I paid $400 locally for mine. You MAY be able to buy online for around $360-$400, but the shipping is a fortune (its heavy) and JL does NOT allow its dealers to sell online. That can cause problems. My suggestion is buy it locally. Check around until you get the lowest price. $400 is the most you should have to pay for it though....

In case anybody is interested, I placed an ad for my Stealthbox in the "parts for Sale" forum sometime last month.
I was looking for around $150. Dont have any of the original packaging. Will be able to send after January 6th.

I really like my stealthbox, it took some time to make it sound right though. JL Audio 250/1 mono amp is pushing the 10w6 sub and it sounds great.
Get it, you're not going to regret it.

Never heard of that one. Get JBL 12", Deezo still has one for sale I think. Those subs punch hard.

right now i am pushing a JL 12W4 (DVC) in a small sealed enclosure with a PPI 2x100 ( bridged to 330W). im thinking of getting the stealth box and upgrading the amp to run 2 subs at the same time. chris j vurnis, where are you located? and do you have any pics of your box? also, is the install pretty straight forward? do i need to cut any of the side molding? thanks for all the input guys.

From what I saw at Tweeter the install is not that easy. The tech guy was swearing so bad, I just wanted to take everything with me and leave. On top of that he did everything wrong. I had to go back the next day because the box was not securely attached and was rattling badly even with the slight bass. He told me he used to be a mechanic...damn I feel bad for his customers.

i tihink the stealthbox is way overpriced

1 10" sub and a box for $400? i would get an Adire Shiva($115 shipped) and a box from speakehole.com ($30) and would sound just as good and the bass would be deeper as well. the maxima already has a cave for a trunk so one box won't really affect your trunkspace unless your hauling around bodies

Man, I'll give you the JBL sub for 60 bucks. Everyone's looking to spend over $1000 for their stuff and I didn't spent over $800.

My setup:

Pioneer CD Headunit

4 JBL P632 6 1/2 connected to a 400w Jensen XA4200 4 channel w/ built in crossover

and

JBL GT1220 280W 12" Sub powered by 300w Alpine MVR100M

Voodoo 1 Farad Digital Cap

Andy has heard my system and now that I have a cap, it makes the sound even stiffer.

It takes soome work, but its not hard. Just time consuming. I did it myself in about an hour.

NYCe MaXiMa,

It would have taken Andy less time to drive down and let you do it then.

I dont know about spending $1000 for my system, but I have me stealthbox powered by JL's 300/2 amp. It its hard, but I hear alot of rattle. I suggest putting dynomat on the driver side right behind where the box was put in. It helped me out alot. If you live in the Orlando area, I can get you the same deal I got which is both sub and amp for $725.
