Question about wiring front and rear speakers

I have an 04 Maxima With the bose system. I have an aftermarket head unit (alpine IDA-X305S) with a single 12inch alpine sub and a single MTX6500D amp. What i'm wondering is this. I want to get the alpine imprint tuner but the way it is setup is it uses RCA's for front rear and sub. Now the sub is not an issue but the Fronts and rears are wired with standard color coded wiring and not RCA's With the setup i currently have is there a way to wire the speakers using rca's so i can get this Imprint tuner. Would i need to get another amp to wire the interior speakers. Or is there another way to do it.

I'm sorry if this was answered somewhere else i searched for a while and couldn't find anything.

Need more info. The imprint requires an RCA input? What is the output? Also, post a link to the unit you're looking to purchase.

Also need to know EXACTLY how your aftermarket head unit is wired into your Bose system. Is there an LOC involved in your current set up?

Then again, I think the real question should be...why the hell are you trying to tune the crappy Bose system? You can't polish a turd. Spend your time/money on a better amp/speaker set up first.

I happen to think that the bose system with an aftermarket headunit sounds very good. With the stock head unit it sounded like crap.

this is the item i'm looking to purchase.

My current headunit is wired up using just standard Wire harness and wired to the remote wire to kick on the factory amp.

If you're using high level speaker outputs from your radio directly into your car's harness, your HU isn't wired properly. If you have Bose you should be using Metra 70-7551.

Please read the Bose radio replacement thread to understand how high and low level signals work in the Maxima - it will also tell you how you can simply splice RCA's into your wire harness in order to get the RCA connections that you need...

I wouldn't even bother with the imprint on the bose, no matter what you do, the bose amp is still going to process the signal, there is no reason to process the signal twice.

on my previous headunit the 9853 It sounded so much better and i was able to tune it perfectly the way i wanted and make sure all the bass went to the proper speakers . I got the new head unit because i wanted it to work better with my phone (iphone 4) the old one barely worked as just an ipod no less pandora or xm. With the Imprint it gives me all the tuning functionality that the old head unit had

I would still change speakers/amp to aftermarket before getting the Imprint.

But meh, to each their own. Good luck.

each speaker has it's own amp on the bose system correct ? Or is there a central amp that they all plug into ?

In the 6th gen it's just one amp powering all the interior speakers. Its mounted underneath the rear deck in the trunk.

Then the sub has it's own amp mounted right to itself, similar location.

I do suspension and audio installs for org members. You're about 1:45 away from me, but at least you'd know the install is done properly. Just an option.
