trunk release solenoid

Anyone has info on how to install a trunk release solenoid. Pictures would be great. Thanks.

Its the black thing that the white plug is plugged into. Should be simple.

Am I seeing a plastic wire instead of a steel wire that is normally connects to the solenoid?

Yes you are. Follow the cable back and you will see a white handle with a picture of a car with the trunk open. Its the emergency trunk release.
