Headunit Q

I have a 98 w/ bose wanting to swap out the headunit for something that utilizes my stock amps/speakers etc. Pretty much, a plug n' play with my current stock bose setup. Now, tried some searching but I am still unsure. Went to Crutchfield and entered my info and the search yielded me a few units.

Will this 100% fit my car and work with my stock setup?

I know it says newbie Im just new to the site. I worked 12 volt audio 11 years. Yes this will work but one thing you may want to think about it making sure you find a head unit that has a low pass filter and/or High pass filter . Because most of the highs are sent up front and bass to rears, you can set it up so your fronts dont get below 100hz and bottom out. And that way you can send full signal to the rears to get the bass. Just a thunk! GL

No idea what you mean . Can you give me examples of headunits from crutchfield ? double-din ones like the one I linked.

Ok this is just an example one because I know the 8000bt has all the bells and whistles (cause Im a pioneer fan).. Now if you read at the bottom it has High pass filter and low pass filter also under specs you see the pre-amp voltage is 4v vs the 2.5v on the JVC... The closer to 5v volts the better the sound from the pre amp outputs. PLUS is has a separate set of sub outs just in case some day you want to expand your sound system. None of these are make or break for someone who just wants a radio thats going to sound better then the factory. Cause the JVC will, but if your picky about sound these are things to consider.

This link explains HPF and LPF.
