Mount it in a side panel in the trunk or on the wheel well hump in between the console and back seat.

Under the pass dash woun't work to much there.

i was thinking about fabricating a custom bracket out of fiberglass and MDF for underneath the glove box. Or even cuttin out the armrest in the back and mounting it in there somewhere.

Anyone else have one in their max and care to share with us?

Custom Glove

i think im gonna buy another glove box and cut the sides off, use fiberglass for the support on the sides and make a flush mount face for it, only problem is that it wont close so it would take away from the leg room, like i said before i cant put it in the trunk because the bass will not let it work

that's a pretty good idea. You don't need the whole PS2 to be exposed for the face plate, just the slide out tray so you could actually have the bulk of the chassis hidden inside the dash. All you would have to do then is cut out the hole in the glove box for the tray and make brackets to hang the PS2 behind the dash. You wouldn't be able to open the box after that, but at least you wouldn't lose any leg room.

I think there's a fair amount of space behind the dash you can use. I'm not sure if there is enough for a PS2 in the glove box area, but you can put a fair amount of stuff behind the center console.

Hope this helps,

well

you could try something like I did. I put my dvd/mp3 player behind the armrest. This how I firts had it, but now I have it so its only about 3-4" down from the top. I also added the front of the dreamcast just the sockets for the controlers and put that under the dvd/mp3 so I could just plug the controlers in when It was being played. I coulnt find a way to mount the dreamcast so I put that in the trunk and just wire a power swtitch so I could turn it on and off.
However PS2 can be mounted and played vertically so you are in luck

Since I blew my airbags last month, I'm planning on putting my PS2 in my passenger airbag hole. I want to make brackets for it though so I can take it out and put it in whenever I want. I plan on getting an aftermarket airbag cover for it so it looks stock. I hope to have this done within the next couple of months.
