New Subwoofers.

I installed some new subwoofers this week, i got 2 RE Audio SE subs and a quantum audio 1500 watt amp model QB1500D.

The video really does not do any justice, you have to hear them in person.

don't bother with the caps. upgrade your grounds instead.

those older RE SE's are sick.

Having better ground still won't resolve the power consumption. When using higher power capacitor definitely helps!

Have u ever tried with different orientation of the subs? I have a single JL sub and I always find them sounding tigheter when I place at the corner. .beside the trail lights facing other trail light..less trunk rattle and tight bass from inside..but if I place them beside the rear seats like I did I never get great bass but only rattle..may be its my system but just fyi only

I had a RE SR in my last car. Only 300 watts but it got crazy deep on the low notes.

And where do you think the capacitor is getting its power from...?

A high power system wont benefit crap from a capacitor. You will need to upgrade the alternator and the rest of the electrical in order to supply sufficient power to the amps.

I found that this orientation of the subs facing back like they are in my photos give me the best bass output, if i turn them around there no where near as loud.

We agree to disagree or however it's said! But I do believe Capacitor will help from dimming of the lights as he says it does! Agreed that replacing the alternator and electricals definitely is the way to go!!!

A cap will help in the noticeable dimming of the lights if that's all your worried about. You could just hook up cap's inline with the headlights. I'd be more worried about the voltage dips that could effect the ecu, bcm, brakes, airbags, etc than the stupid headlights. There are already caps built in the amp you don't need anymore. Upgrade the wiring if that doesn't take care of it then upgrade the alternator.

I know a former employee of RE that went with the company when it was sold to US Amps. We had a discussion a week ago about his trip to China to teach the employees of the build house how to build their subs. He left the company a couple of years ago. He now builds his own line of subs as well as repairing blown subs. The repaired sub is usually better than the original.

Here's a custom job on a Konaki motor with Eclipse/TC Sounds 15" basket:
