55w HIDs...

Any advice on where to buy a decent set of 55w HID ballasts? I read that alot of them only output 40w or so.

Any advice on where to buy decent 5/6k D2S bulbs. my 8ks are 4+ years old a very dim. I ordered 6ks from vleds but they are back ordered and i'm now considering 5ks for best light output and looks.

I don't need comment like 55w will blind people or that D2S don't fit.

Thanks in advance.

I went with them for my 55w fogs. I can't see a place on their website for a stand alone 55w ballast. Could you provide me the link? I've looked multiple times. They currently are also out of stock of the full 55w kit and their customer service is horrible. I guess if I order the 55w kit when it comes back in stock that is one way to get the ballasts and bulbs...

I'v also heard bad things about DDM Tuning after I ordered my fog kit which makes me suspicious.

I was hoping for a reliable 55w ballasts stand alone or kit...

Ive had 6 sets of hid's from DDM. They ship fast and the kits have always worked very well for me. Every now and then you'll get a bad ballast but thats about it. Cant beat the lifetime warranty.

TRS' Morimoto kits are very nice but kind of on the pricey side compared to DDM.

I personally had no problems with them and I'm running a 55W 6000K kit.

I was looking at those today. Unless i'm mistaken i'm going to have to cut and splice the wires to get it into my stock 03 headlight correct? I can't use my existing d2R connector. They do seem like a high quality ballast from what I've read online.

You could call them and ask...but I think you're correct.
