Need a little help here guys..
First off, I have an alphasonik PMA 1200DA pushing 2 RE SE 15s wired down to 1 ohm. Headunit is a kenwood kdc-mp345u .
Driving home yesterday, i decided to turn up the volume just a little more than usual (almost maxed out)..about 30 sec's into it I started noticing a burning smell...After the smell continued for a bit I heard my door speakers make a distorting noise followed by my amp cutting off and my speakers stopped playing. After turnin the volume back down, A little puff of smoke started coming from the vents..
I havent had much time to investigate yet but Ive noticed no fuses are blown on the amp nor is the main fuse. Anybody have any ideas as to what I screwed up and why?

Are your door speakers hooked up to an amp? Or are they running off the head unit? Did your subs stop running too?
Typically when a amp dies you smell it, then follows up with some smoke, and then its time to go shopping for a replacement.

My power wire had gotten a small cut in it a while back. So instead of running new wire I just threw a bit of elec tape over it an called it a day...
Well that burning smell was from my power wire catchin on fire where I had taped..So I ran all new 1/0 gauge wire las night and am now good to go.
