Hey MaximaDave, can you give a good deal on the yellow top Optima battery for a 5th gen Max? Also give me your opinions on a subwoofer between the Boston Pro 12 and a JL Audio 12W3. Thanks in advance!

I paid $127.50 for my Yellow Top. If you live here in so cal I can get you the same price. Between the JL and Boston that would be up to you. Both are great. Retail wise the JL is cheaper.

Thanks Dave, I guess I'm screwed on the Optima; I'm in Lexington Kentucky and they want $179 + tax for the damn thing. No Tweeter stores in this state that I'm aware of either. Damn! Oh well, thanks for the help, I'll probably flip a coin on the subs! What price could I get either of the subs for from you. I can have a small sealed box made for either of them at the local car audio shop in town.

Out here in so cal Yellow Tops go from $179-$249 at some places. $179.00 is not that bad.

Your thoughts on the Boston Rally 6.5" coaxials versus Eclipse Point Source of equivalent size and cost of each set. I'll be using one of the two in the rear doors.

I have the Point Source and I love them. Retail wise the Boston Rallys go for $150.00 pr., Eclipse 89640 Point Source are $199.00 pr., what would be close to the Eclipse Point Source would be Bostons best the RM6 at $250.00 a pair. Listen to all 3 and make your decision then. 12W3's are $199.00 each, Boston Pro 12's are $299.00 each....What are really good but doesn't get enough recognition is the Xtant X1244 500 watt dual voice coil aluminum cone sub. Mirror type finish around the magnet structure check them out at www.xtant.com
