Monster?? Lol, what are the specs on that thing? How big of a box you doing, sealed or ported? Material costs? Sub costs?

Not really, just modelled it in WinISD against mine and with the exact same box, sucks ***** down low, but picks up great mid-range, like from 75hz-150hz. Great sub for sure, but not really a rolls royce... I'd say more of a lexus.

Why would you model with the same box, and what where the specs of it? I won't be using this above ~80hz, as that is where my midbass will kick in. This is SSA's high power sub but will have NO problem getting low or sounding good in a properly built enclosure, and good install. Which I am very capable of doing.

It's rated at 2250 but can take a lot more.

2250+ RMS. Definitely ported, MSRP is ~$470 + shipping. Box will cost < $100

Almost identical specs, thats why I modelled it in the same box, and I know everybody shuns it but with extremely close specs it wont matter much (maybe half a DB) I don;t know what you drive in the way of a maxi, but I have a 4.5m3 box and literally I have to take the sub out of the box to jam the box in, although I have mine firing up. Above 80hz that is where it shines like a fricken death star. Have you modelled it yet?? are you putting this in a car?? model it and check back in, or I can do different variations for you.

I had 6 cubes net in my I30 for my four Sundown Sa's. This box will be 5 cubes net with ~75^2 inches of port area tuned to ~34 firing into the cabin sealed off from the trunk. Subs really shouldn't have to play over 80 with a nice front stage.

Right now I'm running 1500 RMS on stock electrical + big 3. Near future will be a Mechman alt and an XS power group 31 (Will add another in the trunk if needed). I will also upgrade to ~3500 (Sundown, Crescendo, AQ, or something similar)

The XCON is awesome btw I had an 18 not too long ago, so stay out of the casinos for a few weeks and grab one

It is LOUD and sounds great! Very flat from 30-60hz. Gotta clean up and then I'll be happy

The car is FILTHY from sitting in my garage not being driven and a light rain before I parked it over a month ago. I will give her a wash tomorrow and get some better videos up.

No need to the double baffle does just fine at holding the sub up. So far I'm very impressed with it.

Oh I forgot, great looking box man! I am impressed with the port design, I wish I could do the curve like that. Did you get it metered or anything?

Thanks, haven't gotten metered. I'm going to build a very slightly smaller enclosure and fire into the cabin sealed off from the trunk.

Or I might run my XCON 10's still brainstorming.

If anyone is interested in the ZCON or XCON's let me know.
