Wow you're gonna be pushin' 2 of these?!? I would not be able to handle that much lol. But to each his own. Anyway, I would recommend getting a Class-D monoblock for the most efficiency. It will be difficult to find 1600W RMS in a monoblock though. The other route you can take is powering each sub with its own amp.

...

After looking up some amps I came across this Rockford Fosgate:

It's a 100W RMS short of your subs however. You can try looking up others yourself but this is what I found after a quick search.

Best price I found on it was here:http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...ice_Comparison

IMO, using that beautiful Rockford amp to push these Pioneers is a HUGE waste. Out of the OP's budget range anyway.

I really don't have experience with Pioneer subs but remember, you get what you pay for.
@OP, seems like you just want something that SLAMS. I highly agree with you on the hifonics amp. The Brutus series amps would go perfectly with this setup IMO.

Good luck! keep us updated

Thanks for all the info guys.

I'm not sure if it's safe to run these 2 subs now, this past weekend i hooked up a 300 watt amp w/ 2 sub about 300 watts each. Some stuff i had lying around, just to get a little more bump for now. Although it's not a powerful set up I'm getting a lot of rattle. I'm getting rattle from the wing, plates of course, one of my rear reflectors is apparently a bit loose and the weirdest rattle my back glass i couldn't believe that part.
I Have 5.5 Gen i had a clean carfax when i bought the car so i don't know why the glass is vibrating but anyways now i have to go research all the rattling issues because i hate rattling. So this setup might be on hold for a few.

I have an alpine PDX1.1000 that would work well, $325 shipped.

Stiffen up the metal, I suggest Second Skin sound damping.
