Where to install amp in trunk

I have a Amp installed in my 2012 Maxima. The amp is installed directly on the speaker box in the trunk. The problem is monthly I have to tighten the screws holding the amp in place. I'm reminded of this when I can hear the vibrating noise of the loosened amp on the speaker box. I had the amp installed at a stereo shop and was going to take car in but, wanted to ask the forum for advice.
If the solution is to move amp off of box, where is a good location to mount the amp? Also is there a better spot to position the box so the sweet spot is at the driver position? Current position is driver side trunk with the box as far back as it will sit in trunk. I'm trying maximize trunk space.

Rockford Fosgate Amp with 10 in sub.

Thanks for any info

can't you just mount the amp somewhere else on the box? i would just move it away from the original mounting points, and screw it back in. you can use a few dab of glue or caulk to seal up the other screw holes.

as for the sweet spot, the bass should be omni-directional...the response may vary depending on where the sub is situated, but it won't be focused towards the driver seat.

On my 4th gen, I mounted it upside down on the platform where the rear speakers are. That way, if I need to remove the sub for anything, all I have to unhook are the wires going to the speaker itself.

I've had mine mounted on the trunk lid for a few years now with no problems. But I would honestly mount it on the back of the back seat, or get some rubber washers/spacers and keep the amp where it is. That way the rubber will absorb more vibrations than the amp.

The amp is very heavy, and has been on the trunk lid for a few years. I wanted to change things up, and keep the car functional since I plan on driving the car alot more this year.

That's good, so like it didn't affect your sound quality or anything then

How big is the amp? If its a small footprint then you can mount it in the bin where the emergency kit and first aid kit are at. I installed two large Zapco amps there and it does not take any more space or visually can be seen. Mine need to be vented so i added spacers so they can breath. Thats what I did.
