Loving the ideas of 8"s to install in my 4th gen but I have very limited speaker/subwoofer knowledge..

You're not really saving much trunk space over just going with a single 12.

 

Was debating that also, but unfortunately or fortunately i just bought a pair of 12" Pioneers w/ box for $20 because the guy from craigslist was unable to prove they work and needed them gone.

With good intention, i will keep his # and send him a money order for the original requested price if they do work.
