03 i35 Bose headunit Replacment
just installed a new double din nav dvd unit intagraded stock bose with the wire harness basicly turns speaker wires into RCA cables fits great looks great sound isnt great its not even close to as loud as the stock bose head unit ......it has to be something to do with the bose speakers and amps anyone got thru this before ?

well thats my problem its not loud enuff its about the equivelent of the stock bose HU at half way theres gotta be a way to make it louder there really clear but not loud i was thinking it had to be something to do with the amps
nope nothing with the amps if you change it to the 70-7550 metra harness that uses the speaker leads off the radio instead of the rca's and gives you a higher signal into the amp
The 6th gen has this issue when connecting into the bose amps too so i hear. Its like the bose amp is expecting a high level signal. I would just cut the RCA's off the metra harness and splice the speaker level output from the head unit in.
i dont want to cut the RCA's off kinda too jimmy rigged for my baby im gonna try the metra 70-7550
ive been doing installs for 13 years and noticed over the years to just use the metra harness 70-7550 instead of the rca harness it just gives you what your looking for out of any head unit
