nope nothing with the amps if you change it to the 70-7550 metra harness that uses the speaker leads off the radio instead of the rca's and gives you a higher signal into the amp

The 6th gen has this issue when connecting into the bose amps too so i hear. Its like the bose amp is expecting a high level signal. I would just cut the RCA's off the metra harness and splice the speaker level output from the head unit in.

I had this issue with my 6th gen when using a head unit with 2 volt RCA output voltage. Switched to a head unit with a 4 volt output voltage and never had a problem again.

ive been doing installs for 13 years and noticed over the years to just use the metra harness 70-7550 instead of the rca harness it just gives you what your looking for out of any head unit
