climate control color

I've seen people using the red plastic to change the color of the hvac control to white instead of green. i've searched but havne't found anything, is there a way to make it red? I'm considering changing all my interior lights (except the dome) to red and the HVAC and clock are the only two parts that i'm not sure of how to do it. Anyone know or have an idea?

Find a company that sells these^^ If you can, visit the place and get a sample pack, I spent like one dollar on mine. Sample pack shown above. Just disassemble the VFD for your climate and slip one of the red-magenta colors in and it's all good. Do the same with the clock if you want it to match. I did mine blue (clock and stereo, I have manual climate control)

Basically all you do is find the right color you want and cut it to size, and tape it against the VFD itself. Super easy

I know the process is pretty simple but I just didn't know which color to use. Red makes them white, so what will make them red?

well, actually, magenta cellpphane paper makes them white.

different versions of red will make it red. This is not cellphoane paper, so the red filters will actually provide red. I have ONE blue filter on my clock and it looks blue...the magenta to make white trick does NOT apply for the LEE filter media.

Do a google search for LEE FILTERS or LEE FILTER MEDIA. Find the website for them and click on their "find a dealer" link.

You're gonna have to to a little work...you can't just call em up and go "i want a sample pack"...you have to physically go there and talk to the people. That's what I did.
