Who has or heard of the Infinity Basslink in action?

Aside from 97MaxGurl, who else has the Infinity Basslink or have heard it in action?

I tried auditioning this at my local Cartoy's store but i didn't like how it sounded compared to, say, the Infinity Perfect 10's and 12's. For some reason the Basslink was muddy and had a bit of distortion.

Then again, i've read a lot of good reviews about it.

I'm not into a lot of hard hitting bass, just something to add to the low-end of what i usually listen to (variety, nothing in specific).

I'm also looking at this particular unit because it's small and i get to keep my trunk space for other important things. It also seems to have better reviews than the Bazooka's and the Rockford enclosed/amplified subs.

Comments? Suggestions?

Thanks

- Mike

I dont have one in my car, but i know two people that have them and I think they are really good for the money. They arent going to be as good as a perfects, but with a perfect you also need to buy a box and an amp.

The Basslinks IMHO are not that great of a deal

if money is an issue, you can get a nice 12", box and amp for about the same price.

nice subs for the money:
Adire Shiva: $115 shipped
Image Dynamics(IDQ series): reasonbly priced on sounddomain.com

nice amps for the money:
JBL powervalve amps on ebay
autotek amps on ebay and thezeb.com
orion cobalt amps(closeout sell on sounddomain.com)

then get your wire kits and sub box from speakerhole.com

of course you can just be lazy and get the basslink of ebay

Matty, thanks for the input! I heard these and the Perfects side by side and there's a world and a half of difference between the two in terms of SQ and SPL.

Seven, i considered the seperates but i'm worried about giving up too much trunk space. I just want to add some decent low-end to the music i listen to. I've tried my best to price out something similar to the Basslink (Around $215 shipped on EBay) but it's hard doing it.

Thanks again for the input and the suggestions!
