hey i did some searching here but most people prefer to drill through the firewall, i kind of want to avoid that if possible, i just want to know if anyone has found a good place to run wire through without drilling? thanks

I dont think its really that bad to drill... I have my 0ga wire going through the firewall with a grommet, and there is NOTHING around the wire (very safe spot). Its in the upper right hand corner of the firewall under the wiper cowl... I can try to take pics later.

 

There's also a huge area where the clutch cylinder would go - you'll see a diagonal cutout in your carpeting behind the brake pedal. You can drill there.

 

So the best answer is no its not really possible to avoid it? Lol I have no tools and I can barely use a hammer, I guess ill get it done professionally, thanks guys

 

I ran a power cable for my Basslink through the opening where the hood release goes on my 2002.

 

Oh no...please don't pay for a total install just for this. Surely you have a friend that can help. Where are you? If you were local to me I would help you out with drillign the hole

That may work but I hate running cable near moving parts. Makes me nervous.

for what you are going to pay to get it done for you, just buy the drill... my $0.02...

 

Getting a drill would not be such a bad idea, as it is a nice tool to have. You will surely use it in the future. You could also do what has been suggested, have someone help you near you. If not, at least have someone loan you a drill.

Just make sure that there isn't anything behind the area where you are drilling. The area to the left of the brake pedal as someone had suggested is a good spot. You will see the cutout when you look there....that is the spot.
