Is my Viper 591xv alarm stupid?
With this and most alarm systems the doors when the ignition is engaged. When I unlock the doors with the car running to let passengers in or out I need to manually relock the doors or I am now riding around with the doors unlocked. That makes total sense from a security system. When I pull my car out of the garage spot to let my gf in it annoys me to always remember to lock the doors. Most of the systems I had in the past re locked the doors after the door closed or once the car hit around 10mph. Dei is a zillion $ company, I can't imagine there is not a hopefully easy fix for this. Thank you. Brian.

I agree the speed sencing locking is an oem option. It was on my 98 Mark VIII, a different kind of car. The keyless entry system side of the unit should sence the ignition is on & relock the door after it is unlocked, opened & reclosed. I sold original style Clifford (the best) & Dei security products 10 years ago. Even an old cheap Omega unit I had did it. This just doesn't make sense.

yea i agree but they changed the systems over time cause people were getting out closing the door to run insaide and the car would lock itself causing an issue so they dont do it anymore only done by dealer speed sense
