Nagging with the bose

O.k yet another thread, this might be my second one here, both having to do with bose, last go around i did a Kicker 8" free air sub, it was cool but too much hassle... this go around in my AE i just want to replace the bose with something more durable, it can even be another bose of a newer model or what not... i also have the cutting out issue and ive read it could be wiring issues, but im not trying to put a sound system in the car but i just wanna know is there another plug n play bose subwoofer for the car??? ill be messing with the wires this weekend, just want something i dont really have to worry about blowing with the power thanks... plenty bose threads here and its getting tiring reading through it all

You want to replace your existing Bose system with another Bose system? And you think that system won't eventually have the same problems?

Free air is a fairly good set up and a good conservative choice. You can also try the Infinity Basslink - very simple install, self contained, etc.

That's not exactly what I want to do.... I want to replace my bose subwoofer with something plug n play, even if its from another car brand make or model n its a better bose sub but anything that bolts up in there, I did the kicker free air n it was too much energy wasted for the output.... Just want a tad more power... My bose now is from 2001 n isn't blown but it has the short n i wanna change it out for another sub of Ur recommendation that can be just a basic screw in bose or not

You seemingly don't want to go with an aftermarket install. And replacing with a working Bose sub isn't enough output. I really don't have any recommendations that fit this criteria.

You're going to need an amp with whatever aftermarket sub you pick. What do you mean by "too much wasted energy for the output?"
