OK, there is a short in my car on the tailights/dash fuse. The odd thing is that when i press the brakes the dash lights light back up and the brake lights work fine. when the fuse blows there is a clicking sound comming from the shifter..... could there be a short in there some place? even when there is no fuse in and all lights are off....braking makes the dash lights come on

It comes and goes .. i used about 10 fuses in the past 2 weeks, if i go to the dealer there going to charge me up the az for labor. what can i do to find the problem? i have a bunch of mods but non that i think would effect my car in this way.. still have a bose head unit

sounds some wires are touching.......does it smell funny in the cockpit??
