Wiring dual voice coil speakers what type of wire to use?

I have to 2 dual voice coil 4 ohm subs and I am going to run them at 2 ohms each, but I want to know is should I use like a 16-18 gauge solid connector wire or just plain oxygen free 16-18 gauge monster speaker wire to wire them in parallel?? I got some of both I just want to know what would work better.

Regular speaker wire of the same gauge will have less resistance than the solid core wire. Will also take more bends before it breaks.

use the stranded OFC cables.

how much power are you running? if more than a couple hundred watts, you might want to consider bigger cable than 16 gauge. I'm a fan of overkill though. I run 8awg battery cable on mine.
