How to hook this thing up?

So i have acquired a "Myron & Davis advd-180" car DVD/CD player. I have a head unit that can play DVD's but the damn thing wont ready any discs. so I want to hook this thing up so i can watch DVD's while i drive (just kidding, i wanna listen to cd's ). but the only thing is, the only type of power input i see is an input for 12v DC. Ive searched for a manual but have had no luck finding one. How the hell am i supposed to get power to this thing in my car?

um...12V DC is what our alternators put out. Simply tap into the cig lighter if you want...but you'll have to rig up a connector, no big deal if you know how to solder

You're going to want to use a 12v regulator if you want it to last. Plus, the connector is center positive, so don't go reversing the polarity.
