Viper Alarm programming

Recently got a Viper R350/3305V installed, and was wondering if anyone had experience in installing alarms as well as programming
them to do different things. My local shop programmed mine to lock when all doors are closed and ignition starts. I didn't really like this.
So as I research, I see that there is a product called Bitwriter, that programs what things the alarm does.

Would I need this Bitwriter to enable/disable some things?

No, you can use the valet switch to program the alarm. Read the procedure in the manual, assuming the installer gave it to you. It requires a little practice, make sure not to do it anywhere where someone will be bothered by the alarm chirping. Not so much out of respect for them, but to avoid the possibility they come outside *****ing at you for disturbing their peaceful life.

No, just ask them to remove that feature.

It is in the installation manual, not the owners manual like suggested above. This is something hardly ever given to the consumer.

I never suggested the owner's manual.

Thanks guys. I was eventually going to head there and ask them, but was curious of how it was ever done.

Ok, that's fine, but the only one that contains that information Is the install manual and the one typically given to the owner is the owners manual. So as you mentioned "assuming they gave it to you" would imply that would be the owners manual.

Sorry I did not use your Exact words, but rather what you implied.

In my defense, I was implying the install manual since it's the one they would least likely give to the buyer

OP: The feature you're talking about is set by default and easy to change. It's on the first menu, so if you want to give it a shot, it's just a few presses of the valet switch....assuming they installed the valet switch

Plot twist: There is no valet switch on the signal/sensor gadget thing on top of my windshield. Hm, I guess I'll try using the remote then.

No, not on that system, it would be (if installed) a small Black momentary button typically in the kick panel area or just under the dash.

I'll take a look when it gets somewhat warmer over the weekend. I need to lay on my back to see how they wired this thing up. I previously found the sensitivity **** when I opened the fuse panel.
