I have been searching for most of the day but can't find any mention of this radio. Is it possible to replace it with an aftermarket one due to the AC controls being integrated?

yes it has been done a dude here on the org did it a few years back. its a total pain, basically you have to get the harness for the A/c and radio controls from a 03 te without navi and swap it over

 

You wouldn't happen to know his info, would you? I would love to pick his brain.
