Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1 sub...anyone have it?
I'm in the market for a new sub. At the moment I have a JL 12W0-8 and I'm in need for more bass. I'm gonna be getting a used American legacy 1000watt max 1-channel amplifier free from my friend and I'm interested in getting a 12" Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1 sub to go with it.
Does anyone else have this sub, and if so, would you recommend it? Also, where can I get this sub for a good price? btw, I live in Toronto, Canada but don't mind getting it shipped over the border. Thanks,
Nathan

Not trying to flame here
You want to trade the JL for an Infinity? Hmmmmm, i wouldnt. I would sell the amp ( its poo) and get something better. Keep the sub, build a better box and use a cleaner amp. I would be surprised if anything that was made by legacy was even pushing 1/4 of what it says. But good luck anyway, Charles
Re: Not trying to flame here
I have to agree sell that amp and buy something a little better. I had JL subs and didn't think they were all that. I bought them because of their name and rep. Had 3 12 w6's and wasn't impressed, they had pleanty of power and were in the perfect box. They sounded sloppy IMO, and had no bottom what so ever, they were in a sealed box which should have aided in their clarity. The Kappa Perfect woofers are nice, check out the DVC, if you want an $ss kicking sub spend the money and buy the JBL GTI, nothing on the market can touch it, PERIOD! Just my thoughts, can't wait to see who hits me for this........
Honestly demo different subs and buy what you like, while its nice to listen to other peoples thoughts bottom line is its your money and going in your car, buy what you like!!

Thanks guys for your help. I think I'll take your suggestions and get a better amp. But I'm gonna have to put it on hold because I first have to replace my underbody kit that's having problems. Thanks again!
