2003 Maxima SE 3.5L Bose sound system

I've had a 2003 maxima for like a year and a half now and the stock sub is always cutting in and out randomly.. I checked the harness on the sub and the amp and both are in good.. I haven't been able to find any fix online.. for some reason with every other thread on this website that has a link the links don't work.. any diy fixes would be great I really don't want to pay the labor cost for something so mundane but it's super annoying.. very good quality when it does work but it's stuff like this (plus other mechanical issues that are irrelevant to this thread) that make me not want to ever buy a Nissan again.
