Stereo wires help

Hi. I am installing a new pioneer HU in my friends car. He has a 1990 maxima that originally had the bose system. The guy he got the car from had a 10 disc changer installed and whoever installed it cut all the wires from the harness and directly conected them. Does anyone have a wiring diamgram or can tell me what color wire is what? like yellow/green is what? Any help would be apreciated.

Also, if anyone has installed an amp in this car, please let me know where you ran your power cable.

Im not to sure what to say about the stereo. But have a 91 GXE and i just drilled a hole in the firewall and i have 4awg wire running on the corner of the floor. if you have smaller wire tuck it under the panels by the bottom of the door, they are plastic, and then you can puch the wire through either corner of the back seat..easssy

What you need to find wires

Test light
AA or AAA battery

Use the test light to find the constant 12V+ wire then connect it to the new pioneer wiring harness

Look for the accessory 12V+ wire.

I think the ground wire on the max is black. If you see a black wire test it for ground.

After finding those three, turn they key on and use the accessory wire to test for the power antenna and amp turn on.

Connect those to the pioneer harness.

Now with the amp on, you can test for the speakers using the battery.

Grab a pair of wires and test it with the battery. It should make a slight popping sound.

Do that until you don't have any more wires left.

Good luck

find a hole or drill a hole through the firewall and run it along the driver side.

You can get the remote wire from the amps in the rear speaker.

I ran the amp power wire through a fairly large grommet already on the passnger side of the engine bay approximately behind the oil filler tube along the firewall. This will bring the cable in under the dash and to the right of center console area. I then ran the power cable under the carpet down the right side of the car to the trunk...
