Surprisingly enough, it can be done. However, you need one of the CONSULT-II programmers to do it. I was looking through the ESM for the 2002, and there is an option to change the settings for the horn/lights using the programmer. The question is now... where can I get the programmer? Good luck in your search.

From your profile I see you have 97. Assume 97 is the same as my 96. Next to the trunk lid latching mechanizm there is a relay that clicks when you arm the alarm system. A while ago I took it out and measured it but I forgot the details. I'm sure you can do something from there.
I was trying to find a nice sounding device similar to Toyota/Lexus alarm sound that I'd like to have, not the headlight to blink.
