Any Pioneer Mobile Technicians here?

Ok here is my big big problem, and I feel kinda stupid about it, but here is goes. When my parents came back from the Philippines last week, they brought me back a AVX-P7300DVD player, which i asked to get, but I thought they wouldn't get it, but neways. On the verge of installation, I started to read the owners manual, and found out that my DVD player is a region three DVD player, where as to the U.S. DVD's are region one. Is it possible to get a Pioneer tech to reprogram it so it will play region 1 dvds, I know the warrenty is not valid here in the U.S., only in the Philippines, but is it possible, and if so, about how much will be the labor charge. If not, do you think they will let me send mine, and they will swap one for a region 1 dvd player? I have already email Pioneer, but I haven't gotten a response from them yet. Anyone from Chicago, that sells the AVX-P7300DVD players, and is willing to swap mine for a region 1?
