wiring question...
wiring question...
i want to get 4 10" blacklights for the interior of my car, place em under the seats and stuff...the wiring, i want to run under the seats or on the side areas concealed...now, the question is, can i just take all 4 power wires, crimp them together and run it to a switch and ground them to something else? i already have the switch and i want to run it to a fuse, but am i thinking about this properly or much more involved?

I think you've got the right idea, though you aren't entirely clear. You do need to check the current draw for all the lights added together and make sure your wiring and switch are up to snuff (and to choose the right size fuse), though I think flourescents don't usually draw toooo much power. In any case, it's power -> fuse -> switch -> split -> lights -> combine -> ground. Make sure the power source you tap into can supply adequate current (if it's not the battery). You might want to incorporate a relay to only enable the circuit when the key is turned. Of course, if you find a good switched power tap in the first place, then you don't need a relay; but without some knowledge or a wiring diagram, it's hard to know what's good to tap into.
