Regarding computer speakers:

i know this is supposed to be for car audio and electronics but i thought maybe someone could help me here. last night i was listening to music as i fell asleep. i got up to turn the volume down a little and when i touched the volume **** i got a huge shock and my speakers popped and went out. i was messing with it for a little and the music came back on but it was really distorted and really loud (the volume **** was all the way down by the way) then the music cut off. i tried them again this morning and when i turned them on the left one was buzzing and the music played (volume turned all the way down to silent still) but the volume wouldnt increase as i turned the ****. are my speakers ruined or is there something i can do?
