Question about an RCA adapter to the rear speakers of BOSE....
Hey guys, im wondering, im running some subs in my Infiniti I30, and it is equipped with the BOSE double din deck.. Im wondering, I have an RCA/Line Out Adapter that converts high level to low level, soooooo in the rear speakers, should i convert the signal before the amp, or after? The aftermarket amp i have doesnt have a bass boost, its an Orion Cobalt 430, so its made for powering mids and high tweets.. So im thinking that i should convert the signal AFTER the amp (at the speaker terminals) because once converted, will produce a really low signal for the amp (those rear BOSE speakers have a low signal to pump out that good quality bass) and plus the convertor converts from high to low.. so where should i convert? (And knowing that the amp i have is made for highs, the signal must be really low so it can power subs correctly with the right level filtering to low, so it gets the bass lines)
Also, is there any problems with sound that anyone has come across? Like engine noise, too low, signal weak.. anything... Has anyone done this before and encounter any SQ probs?
Any input is greatly appreciated.. im a n00b that likes to ask too many questions..

Re: Question about an RCA adapter to the rear speakers of BOSE....
I never tried a low level converter, but i did tap into the rear speakers before the amp at one time in my 96 maxima. I did lose sound quality, loudness, and gained a little engine noise. I wound up getting the rca adapter that plugs into the rear of the headunit and havent had a single problem. Its alot easier too.
