What can I do...
I have 1 JL Audio 10W3. I have a Punch 75 pushing it with about 120 watts to it. It sounded really good when I had it playin with just my factory system. However, having been bitten by the bug AGAIN, I upgraded my speakers and put an amp to them. Now, the sub doesn't seem to be as loud. I have the sub amp running from a pre-out set of RCA's from the 4 channel amp, and I was just wondering if this is the cause for the decrease in bass. Should I put a splitter up front, and run RCA's directly to the sub amp, or will that be any different? I don't think that would make a difference. OR do you think I just need to get a bigger amp? I am looking at getting a JL 250/1 to push the JL 10W3, so I think that would be a good match. What do you guys think??? Thanks,,,,,D-MAN

No the pre-out is supposed to be a straight pass through, so it doesn't have any filters on it. But after listening and playing with it some more, I actually think that I still have the bass, but I just can't hear it as much as before. Because I put a new amp on my highs and mids, I think that drowns out some of the bass, which I guess is a good thing because at least I have the highs to keep up now...hehe. What I'm gonna do is try and set it today by turning the amp for my mids and highs down a little to let the bass come through more. I still need to tweak my X-over frequencies and stuff too. Gonna be tweaking for a while to get it right....hehe But then again, it's already worth it.
Thanks for the input guys. It's much appreciated,,,,,,D-MAN
