anyone hooked up shock sensor to their factory alarm?

I heard that code alarm makes an add on for OEM systems...Emailed them and they didn't seem to know what I was talking about. Recommended a full alarm system. I'd like to keep the capabilities of my OEM and just add on...hopefully use the same alarm. Anyone done it?

Yes, it has been done, and can be done again. But to save time and server load, here is the info. Go to Circuit City and buy a "universal 2 stage negative polarity shock sensor" for around $20. Then go to http://www.5thgenmaximas.com/ and click on the How-To's section for the wiring and install.

the stock alarm is $hit!! spend a few bucks and get a real alarm.
