I have a 95-96 Bose system. A couple years ago the cd player stopped working, kept getting an error message and no sound (apparently a common problem). I know the system is pre-wired for a Nissan changer but was wondering if another brand would work with the face plate. I did a search and didn't find any threads on this. Does anyone know or am I stuck having to buy one from Nissan? The dealer said it could cost $200-600 to get the laser fixed. Also any suggestions on alternatives to this problem would be appreciated(i.e. good brands of in dash players and/or changers). Thanks.

 

Ebay... (to find a cheaper exact replacement)

 

I went there before and almost got one but the price got to over $250 and I didn't want to pay that much. I actually just found an in dash changer on ebay and bought it. Thanks for the help though.
