I am looking to get a flip out, motorized lcd soon, and was wondering about a few things. First, I see people with "brains" what exactly does that do and do I need one if I just want to hook up a ps2 or dvd player? Second, how would I actually go about wiring it? I have the bose which I know is a pain to work with, and the radio takes up two spaces, thats another question is how do I get rid of the second spot and just have one spot? Thanks and any info on this is appreciated.

Brains are what you ne.. No, sorry, that's a cheap shot.

Brains are the electronic guts needed by the display, and perhaps the radio guts and whatever else wouldn't fit into the head unit now that most of the space is taken up by the display. It's just a box that you need to install somewhere near the head unit.

There was another post recently on the two-din/one-din issue. Basically, you need an install kit for this purpose, plus a generic tray or something to take up the unneeded space.
