hey fellas

I need help in designing an amp rack.. really I need some ideas. I have 2 amps and my crossover that I would like to mount on some sort of amp rack that would have false flooring, yet allow me access to my spare tire. Are there any sites with good examples, or do any of you have some kind of schematics to inspire me?

thanks for the help

http://www.sounddomain.com has a lot of installations if you want to look for ideas. Look at XtantMaxima's car too- he has a nice false floor amp rack that swung up to get at the spare tire.

Well, I don't have a false floor for mounting the amps

but check out my page. I have the amps mounted on the back seat, and the crossover mounted on the trunk lid.

How did you mount the subs to the rear of the trunk? I'm trying to think of something different to do, my install looks cool, but I have no trunk space and it takes a good 45-60 minutes to get out when I go to the races. I want something where I can just pop the box out easily, I'm not to worried about the weight of the amps if they aren't on a heavy *** rack... And preserving the ski hole would be great.

I just used a 1\2

and then built a 1\4" masonite panel covered in Vinyl to snap over the amps. With this setup, there is only like an extra 5 or 6 pounds of weight. The 1\2" MDF has the ski hole so If I have to use it to slip things trough, I just pop off the panel. I'm going to rebuild the panel so it also have the pass through hole.
