Ok I am thinking about cutting out the area behind the rear arm rest and mounting a 8" L7 in a sealed box atached to the back of the seat. So the actual woofer is visible(sitting in between the seats). Any input?

 

I have a feeling you wouldn't be the first. Stuff like this has been talked about before.

 

The first time I saw those subs, a few years ago now, I new it would be tossed in almost every cars armpit. It would be fairly easy to do. Unbolt the steal sheet, maybe cut it out a little larger, and build a box right on the backside.

 

I'll take your 8" and raise you a pair of 12s.

Matt that is exactly what I would do if I was going with larger subs.
I mean actualy squeezing the square 8 right into the gap....think of it as top mounted onto the seat back. sorry I dont have photo shop

 

yeah, I know what you mean.. just thought I'd post that pic for ya..

it wouldn't be too hard to do.. I had to modify the back seat a bit to make it work, but nothing scary.

That's the best way to put the sub, sealed, so the bass is only in the car, not in the trunk.
