Hookup Amp & Woofer to Stock Bose. Please Help!

I'm thinking about buying an amp & 2 12" woofers that someone is selling really cheap. I want to hook it up to my stock bose. Is the wiring simple? Do I just cut the wires going to the amp and hook it up to this amp? cut the wires going to the woofer and connect it to the new sub? Please help!!!

You'll have problems, because of BOSE is different.
You need to buy another haedunit, which has PreAmp outputs.
Eclipse for me was the best choice (it has 3 outputs:front, rear, sub)

Then you'll have to rewire the speakrs. Only then you'll get satisfied.

Really, how did you connect it?? What did you use for the preamp for the sub?

Coz I have to rewire my whole system in the 1990 Sports edition.
Waiting for the answer.

I had a professional shop install my sub & amp. If you are in the NYC area, you're welcome to come and see it.

I might pick up Golden Glory's Amps&Subs.. You mind If I stop by sometime and check out your wiring?

Which shop did you go to get it done at? Did you get the Alpine Amp/Sub from them too?

Sure, you can stop by. I went to Audio Design's in Hicksville. I'm going there tomorow to get a new amp and possibly a sub.

So what system did you end up getting? I'm thinking of buying Russ's 2 12" Infinity's.. Should I just use the bose amp or get another amp? Anyone have wiring directions??

There is no way in hell that the bose amp will push the Infinity's. I just added a JL 250/1 Amp to my sub and the $hit pounds like a *****. I only have 1 sub now. I'm planning a total custom setup; most likely going with 3-8's or 3 10's in a triangle type design, facing forward and can be viewed when the rear seat is lowered and totally stealth when the trunk is opened. Still pondering some other ideas, even a plexiglass sub box.
