Hey everybody, well I bought a 10" Power Neon cable and my brother, being the moron he is, tried to install it himself. Well the long and short of it is that. The red wire was stuck into the cigerette lighter and the black wire I have no idea where that went. But the car wouldn't start. I got some jumper cables and hooked them up, and the car then started. I ran the car for about 30 minutes, drove it around a bit, then turned it off. I tried to turn it on again and it worked fine. I was just wondering should I get a new battery or is this problem now fixed?

Did you check your fuses?

 

Why would you think you need a new battery? You might need to get the installation fixed, perhaps. The battery should be fine as long as the electrolyte level is good and it's not shorted out.
