Just wondering. could someone list about 5 good amps to purchase. i just came across a 300 watt amp on ebay , its a Pyramid 4 channel, and its selling for about 60 bucks right now.

 

1. Do a search. There was just a recent discussion on amp brands.

2. When looking at amp power specs, make sure you know what the number means. Some cheap brands will advertise their maximum power output. This is a useless number. You want to know the power output level at a given distortion level (never higher than 1% distortion). Some amp specs include power at 0.01%, 0.1%, and 1% distortion. This is most helpful when comparing numbers.

 

I will put it plain and simple "You get what you pay for" I would stay away from the Pyramid..

I would look at:
1) Xtant
2) Rockford Fosgate
3) MMATS
4) Crossfire
5) Nakamichi

Kind of costly, but very good, strong, and reliable.. Look at www.thezeb.com for great prices and fantastic service..
