I have seen talk about this peel and seal quite a bit. I have been to Lowe's locally, and they have it for like $12.50 a roll for about 12sq ft I think. I have read from others that it is not as sticky as stuff like dynamat or RAAM mat. What if I use the peel and seal, and use some 3M spray adhesive or something on top of the sticky stuff on the mat?? Do you think that would hold it on,,,,and if so, do you think it would do a good job on the damping side of things??? I mean it's like 40-45 mills thick, and that's about the same as the big name stuff. I could cover around 50 sq ft for just over $50 with peel and seal as opposed to much more for others. Do you think it'll be worth it or should I spend the extra money for the others?? What do ya think??

Thanks,,,,,DMAN

I have used the peel and seal with good results. Very sticky. I think it's the same as dynamat extreme, raam mat, brown bread, etc. Some have said it isn't as sticky but I think that it was a shelf life issue. The adhesive, like all adhesive has a shelf life. But stuff I have that is old I just blast with the heat gun and it's like new again. Like the others it works best when the temp is above 70 F. But a heat gun will make it work at any temp. The other thing is that you have the option of buying a small roll, 12.5 sq ft for $12.47. And if you don't like it, you only wasted $12.47. Instead of the others that start at over $50. I sent sweetsound a small, very old sample of peel & seal to compare with raam mat. Have't heard the result.

I've had no probs using Peel and Seal. It sticks just as well to me as anything else out there. It's what i use to do littel jobs for people that want to get small rattles out of their back decks, doors, trunks, etc....

If you wanna save some bucks, like 20 bucks, go ahaed and buy peel and seal stuff, but make sure you let me know what the results are.
I've tested Lowes product comparing to Raam matt and raam I think is stickier, but as one user said maybe it could be the matter of shelf life.

Anyways, try it, but if you don't like it, Rick will be happy to help you with raam.
