Did you remove the bose sub & amp from brackets after installig aftermarket sub & amp

Just wondering, would the subs I have 3 10" JL, sound better If I remove the bose amp/sub from the brackets so that the sound and come through the mesh grill?

So the bass/sound wouldn't sound different at all? So I guess the only change would be a few lbs less being that the amp/8" bose sub will be removed..

which 10" JL's do you have?
