Any recommendation? Also, could the cd/mp3 headunit be use in conjunction with the factory BOSE speakers? Thanks.

Yes it will work, but as I recall you need an interface to tie into the factory speakers. It will probably be an additional 30-50 bucks for that. Go to your local Best Buy or Circuit City install bay to get this along with the wiring kit and harness.

Yes, I have the Pioneer DEH-7400, with Bose speakers. Got an adapter that lets you fine tune the sound from crutchfield, for about $50. You might be able to find it somewhere else for cheaper, but its not just wires, its a little black box that has a fine tuning screw for each speaker. And also I got my 7400 off of ebay for around $270 with shipping. So you can deffinately get this little setup for less than $400

Thanks guys. I'm going to head to my local Best Buy store and see if I can get a good deal on the head unit and interface. I'm going to install it myself though, shouldn't be too hard right?

Cool, good to know. I have taken apart the center console a few times, so no worries there.
what happens if you dont use a bose interface adapter ?
thats how i have it right now... aftermarket HU... no bose adapter..
works and sounds fine for the past 5 years...
however, my panasonic HU outputs only 15w x 4 ... so if you
go with a higher output HU ( 45 x 4 )...
will it send too much power towards the bose speakers/amps.....enough to blow the bose amps...and then the speakers?
or maybe it will work fine with no adapter... im gettin a jvc sh 707 next week... i hope so !!!
