Components in rear deck?

Anyone have the 6.75" component speakers in the rear deck in the 4th generation Maximas? I'm replacing the ones I have in the front with new ones, and thinking about, maybe, putting the old ones in the rear deck. I was wondering if anybody out there ever did this mod for better sound clarity for rear fill. Can you tell or hear any difference in sound compared to the regular coaxes?

im not an expert but imo- if you have them use 'em. any differnce you may hear (depending on how good your stereo is) will be minimal in the front of your running good componets up there. but your rear seat passangers will appreciate them being back there.

Yes, that's what I was thinking. I thought, maybe, I could get better "highs" coming from the rear being my subs pounding out from the trunk. Thanks.

I sell MB Quart seperates, which I had in the back, they sound great

DSD 210 just 120 dollars and RSB 216 just 150 dollars.

i wouldn't put them in the rear deck. but that's just my opinion. i think the goal of many people is to have a really good front soundstage, so it sounds like your at a concert. put speakers in the rear deck won't help that cause.

i only have the front going in my maxima. with only the sub in the back, which one day i hope to bring up front. the less speakers you use in the car the better, in my opinion.

Vitya, I have my custom made kickpanels in the front with Rainbow pros in there,no speakers in the back at all, just my 1000 watt IDMAX. but I used to have 1990 Max and I had all the MB Quarts around. I didn't know **** about soundstage at that time. :-))

I used to have 2 JL Audio 10", which I'm selling right now, but 1 month ago I've installed Image Dynamics IDMAX 12 inch sub into my 95 maxima!

how do you like the idmax??? i currently have an adire tempest being powered by a pg xs2500. i've been through jl's and kickers', and all the other brands found easily locally. and the tempest is by far the best sounding SQ wise.

Well maybe it sounds good, but the IDMAX (not just my oppinion) is already considered the cleanest and the strongest (ratio) sub on the planet. Judges say that, and it paly so tight in my car!

lol. well, i'm not really going for spl, and loudness. i mainly wanted a sub that would play low very clean.

and i didn't want to spend a lot of money.

Yep, good deal.
Also you could try IDQ-12 or IDQ-10, made by Image Dynamics!
Pretty cheap 170 bucks per one.

Do you know if anyone needs 2 JL audio w0 10" in a box???
Just 150 bucks!
Thanx, Mike.
