KAC-729s Temp?

KAC-729s Temp?

Does anybody know how hot this amp should get? Im only running one 10" Sony Xplod sub. I touch the amp and it was HOT!! It almost burned my hand.

how do you have this wired?? the sub is a single 4 ohm voice coil and the amp is two channel...

I have it brideged, so that all of the power is going to the left channel. What can cause this? I know amps are supposed to get hot, but not hot enough to burn yourself.

i'm not sure why it's getting so hot. what gauge wire are you using?? how is the amp mounted?? and how are you tapping the signal from the head unit (are you using a LOC)??

Im using 8 gauge wire, I think that should be more than required for this amp. The amp is mounted in the back seat wall. From what I know there are two RCA jacks in back of the head unit, and that is where im getting my sound. Also I think my amp just went out. Im going to test it in my brothers car, see if it does the same thing.
