Buying Online

I have never purchased anything online before and I would like to know how you guys feel about buying thing from online stores...I found a Rockford Fosgate 500BD Mono Amp for $360 at a place call www.audionmore.com. Has any one ever heard of this place or does any one know where I get this amp at a better deal?

I don't know about prices for that particular amp, but the other prices look farily outrageous (calrion dxz715 for $350 when its being sold for around $200 everywhere else). I don't know where you've looked (if anywhere), but I can give you a couple links like:

thezeb.com
ampmanaudio.com
carsound.com

And as always, you'll get the best prices on ebay.

I order from on line all the time an only got boned once from a guy on E bay. On line stores are pretty safe. They usually have a number you can call to make your order if you don't feel safe puting your credit card number out there. For on line credit card orders, I use a card that only has a $500 limit. If someone decides they wan't to go on a shopping spree at my expense, I wont get raped too bad.

So what the process, I was trying to read the terms and conditions but it didnt say anything about how the process works and how long it takes to get to me. Is there a standard time frame?

-Where do you guys shop online for equipment?

check this site out www.partsexpress.com. Or you can go to Best-Buy. don't go in the actual store, go in the garage where they do the installations. They will sell you installation accessories about 20-30% cheaper than they are listed on the floor. One of the sales guys taught me that trick

www.ebay.com
www.etronics.com(shipping stinks)
www.sounddomain.com
www.discountjungle.com
i actually do a search on yahoo shopping a lot. just to find out who has the cheapest equipment. also www.mysimon.com. www.carstereotime.com has good prices and they meet and beat anyone elses price by 5%, and shipping is free and usually within 24 hours.
hope this helps

Forgot about carstereotime.com, and cardomain should be sounddomain.com. Whoops

Upon furher review of that site, they have a couple good deals. CDT classics components with a free set of 5.25 coaxes. Sounddomain use to have a similar thing going on, but their specials stink now.

Why don't you see me at Tweeter in Vista and buy locally? Alot of the car audio dealers that sell name brands on line are not authorized dealers. I always take care of maxima.org members. Just ask in the West Coast Forum....

That sounds cool with me...basically I need an Amp the will push my Kicker 12 L7 w/ a telephone cable gain control. I would prefer a mono block. I know Al and Eds has the rockford fosgate 450s for $350. That hits pretty good but if you have any other suggestion, Im all ears.

Rockford Fosgate Sold ONLINE

I sell Online and just got another account the other day so NOW I have access to a TON of Radio/System manufactures...

When I sat down with my New Vendor he was telling me what I can and can't sell items for...

The ONE BIG thing he said to me said to me was that I was NOT to sell ANY Rockford Fosgate online...

I can get it all at cost and sell at a good price but can only sell Fosgate to anyone Local to me.

Fosgate wants to keep their name clean so are now enforcing the policy NOT to have Fosgate products sold Online..! If you see someone selling it online... It's not legit.

They 'Fosgate' is checking serial numbers on Items that are returned to them and tracking them to the BS vendors and not selling to these people any longer.

Look at the JL Audio amps. It will spank any Fosgate amp. Alot of the Fosgate amps are now made overseas to hit that certain price point (for Best Buy). They used to be a "specialty vendor" until they got greety and made Best Buy a dealer.

Hey Dave,,,,

I may have asked you about this amp before, but just wanted to check again. I have a 10w3 right now and am thinking about upgrading the amp pushing it. I am running a Punch75HD to it right now, but the thing just won't die. I wish Fosgate still made amps like that today. This thing is like 8yrs old, and just won't die.

Anyways, my question is this,,,,I was talking to a local dealer about a JL Audio 250/1,,,can you give me a fair price that I should be able to get one for?? He has gone from $319+tax, down to $275+tax in a matter of a couple days. If there's room for a $45 jump like that, how can I know what is fair?? Should I hold out for a couple months and see how low he'll go??hehehe And too, if I go with the 250/1, is it possible to hook up some sort of control **** for the gains to that amp?

Thanks for any help,,,,,DMAN

The remote bass **** is only available on the JL 500/1, not on the 250/1. If he can get you one for $275.00 plus tax and its new with an authorized JL warranty buy it!
