CD Changer on Bose?

Hey, everyone. Got a little question - I'm planning on buying a CD changer for my car ('96 GLE w/ Bose), anyone have any suggestions for one that'll work good with the Bose HU? I do want to replace the Bose Head Unit, but right now I don't have the money to replace the entire system yet and I'm lost without a changer.

So... ideas? Right now I'm thinking of getting an Alpine unit.

Bump?

Sorry, just curious. I've read over the faq and I'm aware of the difficulties of upgrading the bose system (as a matter of fact, I was aware of that when I got the car), but the faq deals mostly with adding an amp/replacing the speakers/replacing the headunit/replacing the whole system. In this case I'm only interested in adding a changer. Maybe I'll make my question more specific...

Right now I have both an Alpine 6-disc changer (CHM-S620 Banged up in the accident with a damaged door, but it works fine) and an Alpine headunit (CDM-7854) that I pulled from my wrecked 626 a few years ago (I had a better aftermarket system on my Integra, but it was sold with the car). For the moment I'm very happy with the Bose system (great sound for factory, as far as I'm concerned) and so I'd rather keep it stock until I can afford to replace it with an aftermarket system that is at least of equal quality or better.

So, any idea if this changer will work with the factory Bose HU? I'm guessing it won't, but I figured I'd bring it up anyway. And if not, is there an aftermarket changer that will or am I going to have to buy a stock unit from Nissan? Is it more cost effective to just replace the whole system (I'm praying the answer is no - that's a project I was hoping to put off until the end of the summer )?

I appreciate any help or input. I'd pull the Bose HU out and look for myself, but I don't trust myself. I damaged the dash when I installed a head unit in my 626 and when I did it in my Integra, I'd rather not risk doing that again until I actually intend to install something.

Thanks!

(if there's something in the FAQ or a post I missed on my search I really am sorry)

Sorry if this seems like a stupid question, but on what? Factory changers from Nissan or an aftermarket changer that works with the Bose HU?

Sorry. I could have been more clear. He has a person he knows that sells aftermarket ones. They look and react identical to the Nissan ones. They will plug directly into the back of the BOSE recieveer and work off of your button labeled CD changer. If you go factory it is around 300+ I think. If he can still gget them they are like $175.00. They are the closest to stock you can get. Only problem is that they screw holes line up a bit off. Just make new ones and figuer for saving a few hundred dollars you can deal with it.
